Borobudur and Others

The glory of syliendra dynasty, has succeeded  to build the world's masterpieces "Borobudur temple“and the temple is divided into three main major divisions (Kamadatu, Rupadatu and Arupadatu) each relief relates a story, the most impressive one is Lalita vistara, a story of reincarnation Buddha to achieve the highest enlightenment.

1 kilometer from Borobudur, a small temple is “Pawon”mainly visit by Buddhist pilgrims during waicak  day, It is a temple to refresh the soul and mind before getting to Borobudur.

Farther, an exotic temple is “Mendut” predicted older than Borobudur, three Buddha statues dwell inside, they are the highest Buddha statues in Java.

Few steps from Mendut temple, We are welcomed to enter a Buddhist “monastery” a combined building java and Balinese style, beautiful with lotus flowers growing in front of the monastery.

There is dormitory occupied by local monks and Buddhist ritual is done regularly in the evening for meditating and Buddhist chanting.
